New SOL and CSOL from 1 July 2016

The Skilled Occupation List (SOL) is the list used to determine eligible occupations for those applying for independent or relative sponsored skilled visas. From July 1, 2016, the following changes apply to the SOL:

Environmental Health Officers                                            (ANZSCO 251311)
Occupational Health & Safety Advisers                              (ANZSCO 251312)
Dental Hygienists                                                                    (ANZSCO 411211)
Dental Prosthetists                                                                  (ANZSCO 411212)
Dental Technicians                                                                  (ANZSCO 411213)
Dental Therapists                                                                     (ANZSCO 411213)
Occupations added to the SOL

Orthotist or Prosthetist                                                            (ANZSCO 251912)
Audiologists                                                                                (ANZSCO 252711)
The Consolidated Skills Occupation List (CSOL) is the list used to determine eligible occupations for both the State and Territory nominated points tested visa, the Direct Entry stream of the Employer Nomination Scheme visa, the Temporary Work (Skilled) visa, and the Occupational Trainee stream of the Training and Research visa and the Occupational Trainee visa.

From 1 July the following changes apply to the CSOL:

Any valid visa application lodged before 1 July 2016 will not be affected by the SOL and CSOL changes and the SOL and CSOL that were current at the time of application will continue to apply.
